MASSAGE & MASSAGE WORKSHOP COMMENTS
“I had taken Kim’s class on
massaging your pet, but my 12 yo female was so stiff and frail that I just
wasn’t comfortable massaging her myself. We started with Kim coming 2x/week,
and the improvements were rapid and amazing! The dog’s hips/legs were stiff and
weak from surgery, and they are still weak BUT they move much more freely now
and she moves with greater confidence. Her shoulders/neck area were
overdeveloped and very tight from bearing most of her weight due to the hind end
weakness. Over time, Kim’s massage has loosened her neck and shoulders, and she
has far greater range of motion and less pain. An unexpected benefit was a
definite improvement in her breathing and in her oral hygiene. A dog’s tongue
is all muscle and is connected to the rest of the neck muscles. The muscle
tightness had pulled her tongue farther and farther back into her throat,
restricting her breathing and not allowing her to pant normally to cool herself
off. She was also unable to lick her chops or her nose to keep them clean and
moist. Now she can! Massage has been an amazing blessing!” Nancy Angoli,

"With hands
on technique, deep knowledge of canine anatomy and a
willingness and ability to answer all of our questions --
from those with massage experience and beginners alike --
Kim Jonah helped me, and all who were attending the canine
massage workshop, become quickly comfortable with the topic.
In addition to her teaching, she gave personal attention to
any student (and their dog) who asked for it. When you
combine all of this with her understanding and respect for
the importance of this work and all it can do for the
animals, it's clear Kim is at the top of her profession."

"The Canine
Massage Workshop offered by Kim Jonah was an excellent way
to get the basic understanding and techniques of canine
massage. The anatomy overview was helpful to those
unfamiliar with the subject and a good review for those with
more knowledge. Other insightful topics included recognizing
calming signals and body movement of dogs. I especially
enjoyed learning the basic canine massage techniques and
then applied them on my own dog during the full body massage
workshop. The hands-on approach was great and Kim’s teaching
style was relaxed and easy to understand. I hope she will
offer more advanced workshops in canine massage. On a daily
basis, I will continue to use the information I learned at
the workshop."

Hello Kim, Skyler and I took your massage
workshop at Jessica's back on March 5th and I keep meaning to
email to tell you how much ALL my dogs love these massages. I
swear they line up for them. I have 5 GSDs. 2 Delta and Cricket
always hide( one in the fireplace and one behind my husband's
chair) when they see the brush or nail clippers come out
but even they have been enjoying the massages after their
brushing. Skyler and Beamer love love love it and fall
asleep and beg for more. Blitz my active squiggly boy not only
likes it but he too closed his eyes today getting his massage
after a wet cold agility trial yesterday. So we just wanted to
thank you and let you know we are using what we learned from
your clinic. Thank you.

SPENCER, THE ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL
"Hi
Kim! I just wanted to tell you that for whatever reason -
you would know better than I would what it is – Spencer has
been great since our last visit. He has not limped or
favored his right or left leg at all. He is still going
downstairs hopping on both hind legs together. I can still
feel the clicking between his hip bones going up the stairs,
but as long as he is doing well, I am not going to worry
about it. I do not understand exactly what you do, but I
know you believe in it, and I have to say that (knock on
wood) Spencer is so much better from our visits to you, and
like a new dog since I met you at Jess’ and started with you
and the Chiropractor. I hope for him that this continues,
and I know that he didn’t seem to be as needing of help from
both of you as most of your other patients, but I am very
happy that I took your time with him – maybe(hopefully) the
rest of his life will be easier for it. It certainly seems
to be right now! Thanks Kim!. I think preventative
medicine(although you both did
help with the problems he was having) is the best medicine;
and I will never hesitate to get right on something in the
future if I can, so it doesn’t get any bigger than it has
to. Between you, me and Spencer, the biggest changes were
evident when you started the cranial sacral work on him –
like him using both back legs the very next morning going
down the stairs – and he has ever since! You are good, Kim!
Both Spencer and I appreciate you! Oh, and Spencer and Zac
send you kisses. –Sue Shaw
JEDI, THE GERMAN SHEPHERD
"Jedi, a German
Shepherd dog, slipped through an open stairway which
resulted in a back injury. After months of chiropractic and
aqua therapy, both of which helped, it was suggested that I
might consider CranioSacral therapy. Jedi had been wobbly
and unbalanced when going up and down stairs. After a few
CranioSacral sessions, he was walking visibly straighter
when negotiating the stairway and continues to maintain most
of that that balance today. Jedi also really enjoys his
sessions with Kim. So much so that he falls asleep at Kim's
caring and professional touch."
