MASSAGE

MASSAGE WORKSHOPS

The advantages of massage are well known and have helped humans for hundreds of years. We are now beginning to see that animals can experience the same benefits of good circulation and muscle tone, accelerated healing processes and increased range of motion in joints, enjoyed by their human companions.

Chiropractic  treatments and Physical Therapy are now common and useful additions to traditional veterinary medicine. Massage is a major support to  these healing modalities.

Conditions that benefit from massage:

• Animals undergoing Physical Therapy
• To facilitate Chiropractic adjustments
• After surgery
• Arthritis
• Muscle spasms from stress or over/under use
• Limited range of motion due to surgery, strains and sprains, or genetics
• Poor circulation
• Behavioral problems

Among the many documented benefits of massage are:

• Enhancement of muscle tone and range of motion.

• Reduction of inflammation and swelling in the joints, thereby alleviating pain.

• Promotion the healing process by increasing the flow of nutrients to the muscles, and aiding in carrying away excessive fluids and toxins.

• Creation of a positive effect on the contractual and release process of the muscles; releasing tension and relaxing muscles.

• Stimulation of circulation by: defrosting frozen muscles, and the release of endorphins - the body's natural pain killers.

• Canine Massage

• Consegrity for all animals
